MAG Strategies, Inc.

GOLD / SILVER / PLATINUM

Buy like an insider.
Exit like one too.

Everybody shops for gold by the buy price. Insiders shop by the exit — because the day you sell is the day that decides what your gold was actually worth.

Michael spent five years inside precious-metal retail. MAG is the firm he built on the other side of the counter — clear pricing, written transaction terms, and personal attention throughout the process.

THE WHOLE POINT

Buying gold
is an exit strategy.

Nobody buys gold planning to hold it forever. A day comes — a need, an opportunity, a family moment — when the metal has to turn back into money. What it is worth on that day was decided on the day you bought it: what you paid over spot, and whether a real market maker is standing on the other side.

From 2009 to 2014, Michael sold physical metal from the inside — the gold coins and bars, at the prices the public pays. A top rookie at Goldline International, he finished 2011 as its number one broker out of 200, the year gold first hit $1,900 an ounce — then a top producer at a second retailer before returning to finance. The ranking is a matter of record, not a marketing line; he holds the W-2s to prove it. He has also personally handled liquidations of size, many times. He knows exactly where the money goes, who it goes to, and what the scramble looks like when there is no exit plan. MAG is built so its clients never live that scramble.

THE EXIT

The bid is the product.

When you buy metal, what you are really buying is the right to sell it well later. MAG clients sell into an established wholesale market — a market maker who posts real bids, for size — agreed in writing, on the day it is time to move.

THE MARKUP

The markup gets paid twice.

Every point of retail premium you pay going in is a hole you climb out of coming out. MAG prices against the wholesale market and shows you the basis before you buy — one flat markup per asset, stated in the agreement. Nothing layered. Nothing hiding in the spread. That gap between retail and wholesale is where we work.

THE PITCH YOU’VE HEARD

“Collector value” is a markup in a costume.

It goes like this: pay a premium for coins with numismatic — collector — value, and in return the trade skips the 1099 and the personal information. A special feature, at a special price. The truth is far more nuanced than the pitch admits — and the premium is collected on day one either way. The features-and-benefits story is how a spread gets sold. What decides your outcome is numbers and liquidity, and a guide who knows where the nuance actually is.

THE WORD NOBODY EXPLAINS

A salesperson sells you metal.
A market maker buys it back.

Every trade has two sides. Retail staffs the first one. The second — a bid waiting for you, in size, on an ordinary Tuesday or a bad day alike — belongs to wholesale market makers the public never meets.

MAG holds an account with one of the most exclusive wholesale metals desks in North America — a desk that does not deal with the public. That account is the engine behind this page: it is why our buy prices start at wholesale, and why our sell prices are real.

HOW GOLD SHOULD BE SOLD

Gold is not an investment.
It is a cash alternative.

Retailers pitch gold against the stock market — a rival investment, with a better story. That is the wrong sale, and it sets buyers up to judge gold by rules that were never its job.

Gold does not pay a dividend, grow a business, or compound. It holds. It is cash in a form no central bank can print — value parked outside the system, in your hand. And because it is a cash alternative, the exit is not a detail: the day you treat it as money again is the day it does its job. Sold as an investment, gold gets misjudged. Held as what it is, it simply works.

OUR PERSPECTIVE

The MAG Reserve Perspective
Understand the role. Then choose the asset.

At MAG, we approach physical gold first as a reserve asset: a tangible holding with a long monetary history and a continuing place in central-bank reserves. We begin with its intended role, the cost of ownership, and the process of converting it back into spendable money.

Read our perspective ↗

01 / CASH

Immediate spending power.

Supports everyday obligations and near-term needs. Its nominal value is stable in its own currency; inflation can reduce what it buys.

02 / STOCKS

Ownership in businesses.

Value reflects expectations about earnings, growth and risk. Businesses can reinvest profits and may pay dividends; share prices can fall.

03 / PHYSICAL GOLD

Ownership of metal.

Produces no earnings, interest or dividends. Its role rests on monetary history, market demand and potential diversification. Its price can rise or fall substantially.

A MONETARY ASSET

A monetary asset, with practical
differences from cash.

Gold has served as money and remains an official reserve asset. A bullion coin is not equivalent to a dollar available in a bank account. Its spending value depends on the market; turning it into cash requires a buyer, a quoted price and transaction costs.

OUR APPROACH

We do not build the case for gold around a promise that it will outperform stocks. Comparisons can be informative, but different assets serve different purposes. We focus on ownership, total purchase cost, custody and the conditions of a future sale.

PURPOSE
PURCHASE COST
CUSTODY
RESALE

Gold may complement a broader financial plan. It does not guarantee purchasing-power protection, replace immediate cash reserves or eliminate investment risk. Central-bank practices do not establish suitability for an individual buyer. This perspective concerns gold; silver and platinum have distinct market characteristics.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Have you thought about
where you’ll sell it?

Where will you sell your gold? Is there enough liquidity when you do? Will the salesperson who sold it to you even be around?

Gold Michael sold at $1,500 an ounce in his retail years is worth multiples of that today. Thousands of holders are sitting on real gains with no exit plan — and a salesperson long gone. Selling metal is not a mystery. It is a function of numbers and liquidity, and it should be arranged before you buy, not improvised after.

BUYING & SELLING

TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COUNTER

BUYING

Buy with the exit already built in.

We help you acquire gold, silver, and platinum priced off the wholesale market — and before you enter, you know how you would exit, and to whom.

  • 01Coins and bars, sourced for your order
  • 02A flat markup by asset, stated in writing
  • 03Your exit path agreed before you buy
  • 04Delivery arranged to you

SELLING

  • 02A written price before you commit
  • 03No obligation if the number does not work
  • 04Settlement on the agreed terms

PRICING

UNDERSTAND THE PRICE · UNDERSTAND THE SPREAD

Understand the price.
Understand the spread.

01 / METAL REFERENCE

Metal reference

Spot is a market reference. It is not automatically the delivered price of a particular coin or bar.

02 / PRODUCT PRICE

Product price

The quoted product price reflects the specific item and market conditions. Any product premium and MAG markup must be explained without counting the same cost twice.

03 / TOTAL TRANSACTION

Total transaction

Your confirmation identifies the total payable, including disclosed delivery, insurance, tax and other agreed charges.

04 / RESALE QUOTATION

Resale quotation

A current purchase price and a current resale bid are different figures. The gap, together with transaction costs, affects the economics of buying and selling. A future bid will depend on conditions at that time.

PRICING CALCULATOR

Run the numbers yourself.

Physical ownership carries market and transaction risks. Precious metals can fall in value and do not produce interest or dividends.

HOW IT WORKS

THE PROCESS

Four steps.
Everything in writing.

Buying or selling metal should never feel like a leap. The process is deliberately plain — you always know the terms, the price, and the next step.

01

Start with a conversation.

What you want to buy or sell, what you hold today, and what you are trying to accomplish — including how you would exit, agreed before you ever enter. No pitch — a conversation.

How does this end, before it begins?
02

Terms in writing.

Every engagement is set out in a written precious metals agreement — items, pricing basis, MAG’s flat markup, amounts, and timing — before any money or metal moves.

What exactly did we agree to?
03

We execute.

MAG works the wholesale side of the trade on the agreed terms and keeps you informed while it is in motion.

Where does it stand right now?
04

Delivery or settlement.

Your metal is delivered to you — or your sale is settled — exactly as the agreement provides.

What was promised, delivered.

QUESTIONS

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Can I sell metals I purchased elsewhere?

Ask MAG to review the specific items. Acceptance depends on product eligibility, verification and an agreed quotation.

Is a future resale price guaranteed?

No. Future prices, spreads, product demand and buyer availability may change.

Are collectible coins the same as bullion?

No. Collectible premiums require a separate assessment. Ask how much of the price reflects metal content and how much reflects other attributes.

LET’S CONNECT

Start with the facts.
Then decide.

Tell us whether you want to buy or sell, which metals interest you, and your preferred timing. MAG will outline the next steps and the information needed for a quotation.

Use the form on this page — it comes straight to MAG. Do not send banking details, identity documents or account credentials through a general inquiry form.

Precious metals prices fluctuate and may decline. Transaction costs and differences between purchase and resale prices affect proceeds. MAG does not guarantee returns, future resale prices or continuous buyer availability. Product images are representative; written confirmations govern the specific transaction.
